Dressed for succes, in a Georges Rech vintage 'deux pièces', Miu Miu shoes, and Marni bag, I left yesterday morning for the 'Passio' show at the Crazy Horse in Paris, together with 5 other Belgian Bloggers (like Ann from 'Loslopend en Wild', Xavier from Blogtendances and Marijs from the renowned Asfaltkonijn) , from both language sides, united as one! After an excitement & curiosity filled train ride to Paris and lunch topped off with an overload of creamy layerings, sweet macarons and other 'petites sucrées', it was time for the real sense-ational event!
After mingling with some colleagues from the Netherlands (StyleToday), we were seated in the front row to watch the 'Crazy for Passionata' show by David Lachapelle. We got glamourshots from Isabeli Fontana and a great choreography of real crazy horse danseuses in 'Passio' lingerie.
The collection is a boudoir-like, sweet and creamy looking ensemble of brown and pink (candy colours! sexy colours!) corsières, tops, boxerbriefs and thongs. The strippers had some extra eye-candy with more leathery looks and see-through parts, but I am not exactly sure whether that's part of the collection. Endless legs, minimal body fat, sultry looks and nice Cleopatra wigs, they had it going on! The few men in the room must have been very happy, since champagne was also served during the show- which made me very happy, too.
Without much ado or explanations, we were ushered outside after the show, asking ourselves whether this was really all there was...I had to stay inside a café because I only just killed off the flu, and my colleagues joined in. We sipped expensive chocolate milk, watching the Eiffel Tower and Diana's monument, I had a very quick look at some (aww!) sales-windows at Balenciaga and saw the cutest mini dress with baroque stones and mint green top, but it was gone when we returned...did I or didn't I buy it? watch me in Spring! ;)
The taxi driver who conquered all the blockades (there was yet another strike), embouteillages, passed by all the buses and pedestrians on his way (ouiais, c'est assez cool ça) in a kamikaze-like ride to the TGV (we were 1min in advance), deserves more than a small tip, he deserves endless fame in the hall of Parisian taxi drivers. Merci Monsieur!
Me, I went to sleep, dreaming of crazy horses in my new Passio-outfit with caramel colours. Mmmm...
